Hello Friends,
The end of the warm weather and the beginning of the cold is always a melancholy time at the Toomey house. But this year we have reason to celebrate. Pat and I were given the terrific news just recently that we’re expecting another child!
Team Toomey has another member on the way! We’re very excited about this great news and we’re so happy to share it with all of you who support us. The baby is due in May – just in time for the May 18 primary. Our children always seem to come along during election time. Bridget was about a month and a half when she attended George W. Bush’s nomination at the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia. We like to make sure they are started on the RIGHT path from the start. Haha!
Our son Patrick continues to dazzle on the football and soccer fields but his shining moment recently was in the classroom. His second grade class did a Christopher Columbus play. Patrick was Christopher Columbus and he did a fabulous job. We were so proud of him. He remembered all of his lines and he stood up in front of students and parents and delivered them beautifully.
Bridget and her teammates celebrated success at their first soccer travel team tournament. Her games were played in Carlisle. We are very proud of Bridget and her teammates. They finished 8th out of 24 teams. They played hard and they are really beginning to play together like a team. The weekend was fun for all, the kids and I were just sad Pat had to work and miss Bridget’s first tournament.
We had some fun family time when we were all back home. We went to Grimm’s Pumpkin Patch in Breinigsville. We picked a few pumpkins, remembering to get a wee one for the baby, and we did the corn maze. We completed the maze, without any guidance from the man in the tower assisting the poor lost souls, in 25 minutes. So, the Toomeys put a challenge out to finish Grimm’s corn maze in less than 25 minutes.
I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall. Next up for us, Halloween costume decisions.

Congratulations on the pending new arrival. Call Acorn now and they may be able to get the new addition registered for the senate election next November.
Seriously make sure to get plenty of rest the campaign trail can really wear a person down.
